Here's how to clean a diamond ring with hydrogen peroxide: get a small bowl and prepare a 50/50 solution of Windex and hydrogen peroxide. Soak your diamond ring for about 10–15 minutes. The Windex will remove the day-to-day dirt build up and the hydrogen peroxide will kill any bacteria on the ring.

Directions: Place your ring in the cap and poor hydrogen peroxide until the ring is fully covered. In a couple seconds the peroxide will start to bubble. The bubbles and fizz will eventually slow down production (45 seconds - 1 minute) depending on how dirty your ring is.

Put some hydrogen peroxide on a cotton pad, then carefully run the pad over your jewelry to clean all over the earring. Another option is to fill a small glass with hydrogen peroxide. Let your earrings sit there for a few minutes, then remove them and drop them in a glass of hot water.

The dust will react with the hydrogen peroxide and start to make bubbles. Remove the ring from the liquid. After a while, dip it back in and leave it there for another minute or so. Take it out and rinse with regular water. Your ring will be shinier than ever. Note: Hydrogen peroxide helps remove all the stubborn grime and grit that has settled on your diamond rings over the years. 5. Alcohol – Vodka, Tequila, Beer

After a little research, I think I will go home and soak my ring in 2 parts vinegar and 1 part hydrogen peroxide [affil. link to info/product on Amazon] and boil it for about fifteen minutes. This helped many people from mohea.com site. I'll let you know how it goes! Jennifer G [last name deleted for privacy by Editor] - Colorado Springs, Colorado

A 2% (store bought) solution should not hurt white gold. I like to use rubbing alcohol or warm sudsy water followed with a rinse and Chamois [affil. link to info/product on Amazon] cloth dry. Try to avoid any exposure with chlorine (swimming pools, hot tubs, cleaning with bleach). Good luck!

Here is How to Tell if a Diamond is Real or Fake 1) Water Test. Use this simple test to ensure a diamond is real. Find a normal sized drinking glass and fill it ¾ of the way with water. Carefully drop the loose stone into the glass. If the gemstone sinks, it’s a real diamond.
🔰
For the fog test, hold the diamond or ring between two fingers and breath on it with a puff of air. A light fog will form on the diamond because of the moisture and heat in your breath. If the fog dissipates right away, the diamond is real. If it takes several seconds for the fog to disperse, it is likely a fake diamond.
