Now, the cleaning will not cause any damage to the diamond when done professionally, but may in fact microscopically wear on the ring and hasten the day when it needs new prongs or a new half shank. If your ring is made of gold, it will happen quicker than with platinum, which does not wear off as quickly.

How to tell if a diamond is real ?

How to tell if a diamond is real ?
How interesting would it be to see a diamond melt into liquid when placed in a puddle of lava. But would this actually be possible? To put it simply, a diamond cannot melt in lava, because the melting point of a diamond is around 4500 °C (at a pressure of 100 kilobars) and lava can only be as hot as about 1200 °C.

Diamond, having one of the highest values for heat transfer among substances would certainly melt almost like a single molecule though. But in theory, one and one carbon decides to leave behind it's friends bound by the diamond structure boundaries behind to seek their fortune in the hippie camp that is called liquid.

We are very sure that as in any business there are more than ethical sales teams working for Diamond Timeshare. If this practive was brought to the attention of Diamond's Senior staff perhaps there would/could be more attention to the response of the claim versus you have a 5 day rescission period, and that is the end of the conversation.

If needed, use a soft bristled toothbrush to scrub any stubborn or hard-to-reach spots such as underneath the stone or around the setting. Rinse with warm water and rub dry with a soft cotton cloth. If the stone still looks cloudy, you can repeat the process substituting a splash of ammonia or vodka for the dish soap.

For the scratch test, take the stone and try to scratch a piece of glass with it. This should be done with caution because it is possible to damage or chip a diamond. Because diamonds are ranked hardest on the Mohs scale, a real diamond should scratch glass. If your stone does not leave a scratch on the glass, it is most likely a fake.

1) Water Test. Use this simple test to ensure a diamond is real. Find a normal sized drinking glass and fill it ¾ of the way with water. Carefully drop the loose stone into the glass. If the gemstone sinks, it’s a real diamond. If it floats underneath or at the surface of the water, you have a fake on your hands.

NO. Crimes have 2 elements: an evil intent, and the actual act which carries out that intent. An example could show this best. Jane admires a diamond bracelet in a jewelry shop. Deciding she cannot afford it, she turns away as the clerk is talking...

For the fog test, hold the diamond or ring between two fingers and breath on it with a puff of air. A light fog will form on the diamond because of the moisture and heat in your breath. If the fog dissipates right away, the diamond is real. If it takes several seconds for the fog to disperse, it is likely a fake diamond.
